Sarah Good morning, Mark. Please come in and take a seat. My name is Sarah, and I’m the HR manager here at TechStart. Thank you for coming today.
Mark Good morning, Sarah. Thank you for inviting me. I’m really excited about this opportunity.
Sarah Great. So, I’ve had a look at your CV and I’m very impressed. Could you start by telling me a little about yourself and your background?
Mark Of course. I graduated from the University of Warsaw with a degree in Computer Science five years ago. Since then, I’ve been working as a software developer at a small IT company. I’ve gained a lot of experience in project management and working with international clients.
Sarah That sounds excellent. And what made you apply for this particular vacancy at TechStart?
Mark Well, I’ve always admired TechStart’s innovative approach to software development. I feel that my skills and experience would be a good match for the role. I’m also looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow professionally.
Sarah I see. Now, I’d like to ask you about your strengths and weaknesses. What would you say your main strength is?
Mark I think my main strength is my ability to work under pressure. When there’s a tight deadline, I stay calm and focus on solving problems efficiently. I also communicate well with my colleagues and clients.
Sarah And what about a weakness?
Mark Honestly, I sometimes spend too much time trying to make things perfect. I’m working on finding the right balance between quality and efficiency. I’ve been taking time management courses to improve this.
Sarah That’s a very honest answer. Now, let me ask you about salary expectations. What range are you looking for?
Mark Based on my research and experience, I’m looking for a salary in the range of six to seven thousand złoty net per month. However, I’m open to discussion depending on the full benefits package.
Sarah That seems reasonable. One last question — when would you be available to start if we offered you the position?
Mark I currently have a one-month notice period at my current job, so I would be available to start in about four weeks. Is that acceptable?
Sarah That works perfectly for us. Well, Mark, it’s been a pleasure speaking with you today. We’ll be in touch within the next few days to let you know our decision. Do you have any questions for us?
Mark Yes, actually. Could you tell me more about the team I would be working with, and what a typical working day looks like at TechStart?
Sarah Of course! You’d be joining a team of eight developers. The atmosphere is quite relaxed but professional. We work flexibly — you can start between eight and ten in the morning. Thank you again, Mark. We’ll be in touch very soon!
Mark Thank you so much, Sarah. I look forward to hearing from you. Have a great day!
